COLOUR DYES MAY IN TIME CHANGE
These photographs were taken between 1990 - the year the border
collapsed - and 2010, in the no man's land that used to separate East
and West-Berlin. The camera utilized was a Pentacon 6 - a true icon of
the Eastern block countries - loaded with reversal film. The
overexposed views are adhered on cardboard and shown as imprints of
place and time. They are traces allowing to get a sense of their
imminent disappearance. Showing slides as prints is a technique
diversion that produces an alteration of colours, a slight blur, as
well as the coming through of the film’s own materiality.
